So tonight I was tired of being overwhelmed, stressed, and worried about Sick, Holly, The Economy, My job, or the World in General. I decided I wanted a happy baby, and Holly Obliged. She was so full of energy this evening, that we simply had to "run" around the house. Daddy came home late, and then we remembered he had to go to Dream Dinners, and Rushed off, Mommy was sad to see him go, and Missed him. So what do we do to take our mind off of everything we... "Dance Dance Dance" and blasting on the stereo Holly and I listened to not Green Day, but Dean Gray, American idiot, the Mash-up Remix of Green Day's Album, mixed with all kinds of fun Snippets. We did back bends over the bolster, played the tickle monster game, chewed on holly toes, had some tummy time, and rolling time, and sitting time, and we played with the little ball, the blue ball, and the big holly sized ball, we rocked and we rolled we bounced and we jumped, and we learned how to clap and dance.
Moving to the beat of the music Holly was fascinated with mommy clapping her hands on her legs and together, holly wanted to do this too, and would hold mommy;s hand, so that her own would go up and down to the beat. She watched the different clap patterns I made in fascination. Then I took her hands, and to a slightly slower song (for green day anyways) we swayed back and forth to the music, but Holly figured this out, and started to actually move back and forth on her own, when we swayed we did so in an exaggerated way, so her would tip up from side to side, and eat time her little tush left the floor, she would giggle and laugh, ten we would rock all the way tot he other side and she laughed some more.
All this dancing and playing eventually exhausted the poor girl, so we took it down a notch, and after a few big yawns, I rocked her to sleep to the gentle sounds of Dark Side of the Moon. Surprisingly the clocks ringing, calmed her fussiness and put her right to bed. Just as she was settling dad came home with meals for the month, and took her off to her crib.
She seemed less Snotty today, and did not puke, so I think she is getting better. But she has a Doctor's Appointment tomorrow, and is scheduled for vaccinations, so she is likely to be grumpy again for a few days, but I have high hopes it won't last long... because, well... she likes to play!
