Fieldtrip to Brushstrokes

 Here we are at Brushstrokes with our Swim and Gym group.  It was a field trip arranged for our group and we got a cool discount.  Holly got to paint several items with her friends and had a blast.  She made a piggy bank which is like one of her favorite things now.  She made some gifts too.  A pen cup for Opa and a Flower pot for daddy.  While there I painted an imprint clock we had made a few months earlier on a different visit.  In addition to all the painting she had lots of friends playing with her friends.  She loved seeing Anna, whom we hadn't seen for a while.  Also Nathan, Ava, Ian, and Milo all came who we don't see that often.  Mostly she had fun also playing with Citlali and Olivia and Kiana.  It was a nice afternoon.

Preview to Ballet

Here we are at the Berkeley YMCA taking a Free Preview Ballet Class. We were offered an opportunity to take the class if we allowed them to video tape it for marketing purposes. So now whenever we go into the YMCA there are video monitors showing Citlali and Holly dancing away in there Tutu's. We always see people watching the video commenting on how cute the kids are, and they are truly adorable. I was so proud of Holly, she actually participated for an entire 70 minutes. The class was an hour long but we arrived early. She was so excited, but did get slightly distracted watching herself in the mirror.

They started with stretches, and then they all lined up and did little moves across the dance floor, from the left to the right. Toe walks, and leg points. Then they each stood on there X's and they followed along with the teacher doing Positions. After this class we decided to sign Holly right up for official ballet classes. She has been loving them.
