Weekend

So as to not concern anyone, Holly has not had any more Night Terrors since Friday night. On Saturday she woke up happy and rested as if she had no problem the night before, but just to be safe we had a very low key day, we basically sat around the house playing. It was very cold, windy and rainy outside, and the house was warm and cozy.

Holly has continued to practice her crawling, playing with her blocks and balls and in her exersaucer, she is starting to get really good, but does this thing that is similar to trying to stand up, where she puts her butt in the air and if only she would use her arms she could then pull herself to a stand. She is still out of balance, but when I hold her hands she will stand and rock and bounce a little and take small steps. She occasionally holds on, but not in any way that I could really safely let go.

She has also been playing with her Piano with Joel and doing a great job, really starting to figure it out and be able to bang and hit the keys. In general she is getting good at banging her hand now, she still occasionally bangs her head but not as much as before, now she bangs her hand up and down which is great, she occasionally hits something else, but isn’t holding two things and banging them together.

She also does this when she is eating, she bangs the spoon against her little table, and when she gets mad she bangs it more vigorously. On Saturday she ate some Sweet Potatoes, which she sorta likes. On Saturday we also made sure that she took a ton of naps and got a lot of sleep, so we were very laid back and relaxed as not to over excite her, and she did get a lot of rest. We had researched that good sleep during the day is the key to good sleep during the night, and it seems to have worked.

Sunday wasn’t much different. Daddy let Mommy sleep in and spent the morning playing with Holly. On both Mornings, he made Mommy very yummy Breakfast, eggs with turkey and Salami and cheese, and tofu Bacon and Bagels, it was very yummy, and Peach Yogurt as a snack afterwards. Joel is doing something called NanoWrimo where you write a 50,000 work novel in 30 days, the month of November, so in the afternoon he spent time working on his word count, you have to write an average of 1666 words a day to meet the word count. I actually write more then that on a daily basis in my blog, but its hard to find time to keep up, so I passed on writing a novel this year, I have written two in previous years, and last year I got half way through, but I was pregnant and just got side tracked with Baby stuff. Joel is pretty excited by his Novel.

This is a picture holly took of herself, I thought it was quite cute so I had to add it in here.
