Last Monday I headed over to Alameda after Morning Therapy with Katie and met Aleutia, Cole, Isabel, and Sarah for a play date. On Monday Mornings they attend Music time in the Alameda Library, so I headed over to meet them at the Library when it was out.
We had tentative plans because Sarah and Cole both usually take naps after Music Class, but there mom's suspect that is because they are "Bored" and have nothing to play with, and are driving / walking home. So since they were both in a good mood we decided to give it a try.
As it turns out, Holly slept in the car over, Cole slept at the restaurant and Sarah the youngest stayed awake and active the longest of them all. After checking out the Library we walked to a cute restaurant called Tomitina. It served Italian food and was very kid friendly.
Holly had some Yogurt before we headed over, but she was ready for another snack. We ordered Garlic Rolls, that were almost as good as the ones from Leonardo's in Gainesville, and she had a few bites, she likes the garlic. Then she had some Cheerios's and shared my pasta, even having a few bits of chicken.
After lunch Cole woke up and we headed over to a nearby park. It didn't have a playground, but had a big open grassy area where the kids could run around and play. Cole had some lunch between playful distractions, and it seemed Holly was ready for yet another snack.. I swear this girl is a grazer.. and she had bits of tofu, cheese, and grapes.
Aleutia came prepared with a few toys for the kidlettes to play with including some cool musical Maraca's that Cole got for his birthday, they were a hit with the girls. Holly had it in her head to run off and push Sarah;s stroller around the park, which is of course her new favorite past time.
Cole was such a little charmer, looking so cool with his tilted baseball cap and bandanna. It was a little sunny in some area's so we moved over to the shade under a tree, and hoped that Sarah would crawl over. Yes, she is started to become mobile, and we are very excited.
So the two big kids would come back and forth between us mom's and Sarah, coaxing her over to us and bringing her toys to play with. Holly is getting really good at walking around on uneven surfaces now, like grass, which is really cool.
Here is Sarah on her way over, isn't she just adorable! Next week we are having our Monday therapy on Tuesday, so I am going to wake up early and head over to join Aleutia and Isabel at the the library for Music Class. We are really looking forward to it.
Sarah lent Holly a hat, since Holly was running around so much and it was pretty sunny outside. I think she looks sophisticated, it is a very European look on her. After the park, Aleutia and Cole walked home, and Me and Isabel took the girls and walked back to the library so we could head home. It was almost 3:00 which was a very long day.
