I love how things simply work out for the best. Last week we had a playdate with Holly and that morning, Holly was having a fit and refused to take her nap, I started to put her down at 11:00 and it was 1:40 before she fell asleep in my arms on the couch watching Baby Einstein.
Our Playdate was schedule to start at 2:00 so I was able to transfer Sleeping Holly onto her princess pillow on the couch and straiten up a little. Luckily the other mom's were running late, which ended up being perfect for me, since Holly got to sleep until about 2:45, and an Hour nap was just perfect. Little Chloe was the first to arrive and we were excited to have her over after spending so many afternoons at her house.
Phoenix was great to have over giving me a clue on what would need to do next in our arms race against child proofing. He was quiet popular with the girls, who buzzed around and played. He was an amazing talker also, and he knew so many sighs, it was so sweet. he would say please and thank you and sign them too.
She was eager to play, but comfortable having some familiar toys around and headed over to the Laugh and Learn House and Stage. its been amazing seeing her change over the last few weeks from sitting to crawling and pulling herself up. here Holly is showing Chloe her secret hideaway and taught her to be mischievous and together they pulled books off the shelves. I had a great time chatting with Katherine Chloe's mom, which we don;t get to do one on one too often, as we are always in a big group.
Next to arrive was Phoenix and his mom Melissa. Phoenix was 26 months old and quiet a little delight. His mom was originally from Brooklyn and we had a fun time chatting. Holly enjoyed having another walker over and she followed Phoenix around. Not unlike other toddlers who have come over he quickly powered through toys and left a path in his wake.

Sarah and her mom Isabel came over next and around this time Phoenix was ready to go. On there way in he had so much energy that he ran around the park and saw the playground in the distance. His mom promised to take him on the way home, so off they went. Pretty soon after Chloe was getting tired and they headed out also. That left Holly and Sarah to have some one on one play time.
Sarah is 10 months old, and such a sweetie. She is a big girl, already 25 pounds. it was fun playing with her on her own, because at first she was very quiet and would sit and play with a toy, but after she began to warm up to the environment her adorable and playful personality started to shine through.
The girls had a blast and Isabel and I planned a playdate at there house next week. It was fun to chat with Isabel, we often don't get a lot of time to talk because we are at the pool or out and about. We chatted about Sarah's eating habits and some wonderful idea's that Isabel has for feeding her. She makes a lot of food from scratch different kids of puree's and she lets Sarah feed herself. Granted it makes a mess, but she does eat chicken and cereal and carrots and all kinds of fun stuff, so next week we might let Holly try when we go over to there place. They headed out around 7:00 just after Joel got home, and all in all it was a wonderful afternoon.
