Park Ten Point Rating Scale

I have decided to start keeping track of and rating all of the parks we go to on a ten point scale. Below is the rating criteria defined, you will be seeing a lot of this, as we have been going to a number of parks. I recently found a list of over 50 in Berkeley, so at the very least my plan is to go to a least 1 per weekend.

Slides - Are there slides that Holy can go down. If there is a slide she can use with help it's 1/2 star

Swings - Are there baby swings, all or nothing

Surface - The best is the soft padded surfaces, the tan bark and sand come in second unless they are dirty or not nice those get 1/2 star

Shade - Are there both sunny and shaded area's Ultimately the shade is the best because it keeps the play area from being too hot, but in the winter it will be chilly so it would be nice if there is a mixture and a sunny spot also.

Climbing - Are there safe area's for Holly to climb. Is it easy to go after her on the play structure, can I keep track of the openings and let her explore.

Parking - Is there parking and is it close to the park, or do we have to walk awhile to get there.

Bathrooms - Are there bathrooms on site, this would be a yes or no.

Distance - If it is a few minutes from home it gets a full star. Less the 20 a 1/2 star, further, while it might be a nice park, it doesn't get a star for distance.

Friends - Were there other babies at the park for Holly to play with and Mom's to talk to or was the park empty and deserted.

Fun - Overall experience, other fun things to do at the park.
