Eye Doctor

Last week I took Holly to the Eye Doctor. This was a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and he was amazing. He sang songs and made noises and flashed lights and tickled Holly to get her to look in various directions and check out her eyes. I wasn't worried that there was a problem, but Dr. Hagerman recommended that we have her checked out to rule out a few issues that are common for kids with Fragile X. We got a clean bill of health, the Doctor said that her eyes were healthy. We go back in a year, for another check up until she is about 3 or 4 and if then all is good she will be old enough to pass a vision test and get the all clear to do yearly screenings with the pediatricians.
