Dreamland with Daddy

Holly loves the park and she doesn't like to nap. So a few weeks ago when she refused to go to sleep, so we decided to run to the park for a quick visit to "wear" her out.Joel had never been here before and really wanted to check it out. Since Holly was a lot older from the last time we went I thought she might have more fun exploring. She was actually able to climb around much more and with both Daddy and I there she could even go down some of the slides. We discovered that there was this neat "mud" hole or water feature. The other kids were having a blast splashing int he water and playing in the mud. I am not sure I would let Holly do that just yet, but when she is older, if she wants to it will be fun.Of course an afternoon at the park would not be complete without a ride on the swings. I think this is one of Holly's all time favorite activities and she really likes it when Daddy pushes her as he makes funny faces at her.Holly actually went down this tube slide, she is such a big girl. She climbed all the way up to where the entrance was and then Daddy helped her sit down on the ledge. Mommy called up to her and down she came into my arms. First there was a look of excitement, that almost turned to terror as she sped down the slide, even going up the side, then when I caught her it was pure glee she was so happy and she signed more. So back up she went. Little thrill seeker that she is, went down the slide several times until mommy and daddy were too tired and we saw a big yawn and knew she was ready to head home for that nap.

I LOVE that first picture, looking through the tunnel at JOel. Very cool! Vicki, you really should write a book!
Love Jackie
PS Did it work? Did she take a nap afterwards?

I love these pictures, your swings look so much safer than ours, they look great fun. Sam likes to go as high as possible now, it scares me but he loves it and holds on very well. That looks like a great park and even more fun now Holly is bigger. Love the slide, sounds like fun.
