This weekend Joel brought up the guitar to cheer up Holly and sing for her and play music. She was tentative at first but then eventually she had fun strumming and patting the side listening to the vibrating sounds and music she was making. Once she got comfortable she wanted to climb all over it.
Holly has been a very grumpy because her teeth are coming in, but even so she has found the energy and enthusiasm to get into mischief. Her new favorite game is to sneak behind the fence and play with the bookshelf and explore. The sad thing is that in her pitiful teething state, its hard to not let her get away with it.
In the end though, even as cheerful as she tries to be, she just wanted her mommy. Over the past few days she has not been sleeping or eating. Her normal 24-32 Ounces is down to 18 and her regular 2-4 meals is down to maybe 1. You know it is bad when it is difficult to keep her dosed up on Motrin 2-3 times a day because it hurts too much to suck on her bottle.
She likes to put her cold teether on her face and she is so not tired, I guess it is just too uncomfortable to sleep. She has been up till midnight or 1;30 the last several nights and is also waking up. Naps aren't much better, it is just too hard for her to get comfortable and settled.
Every time we look into her mouth it looks like there is another tooth on the way her gums are completely swollen and there are several places where teeth are pushing through. I am convinced it is her molars. maybe its better this way. Last time she got 6 teeth at once also, and though it was miserable, it was all over at once rather then several months of teething it was a few weeks. Lets home thought that this gets better, we are thinking back to the sleepless nights and I am having trouble with it cause it is so hard to get her to bed every night, so my time is being squeezed and I stay up later and get less sleep.
Poor pitiful Holly - We love you so.

Poor, poor girly. It is so miserable for them and also for us! We just gave the Motrin in syringe (no needle of course!) rather than in bottles...then Monkey was able to take the bottles once he was more comfortable. Frozen bagels to chew on (I chopped them into strips so he could get them way back in to his molars) also helped him.
Monkey got all of his teeth in groups too. He had his one year molars (and all the rest) by 11 months and his two year molars were through by 17 months.
Awww poor Holly :-( you look kinda worn out too. So cute and pitiful. Love the guitar pic xx
