Happy Birthday Gabe - 2/14

Peek-a-Boo, Where Are You? I'm at Gabe's 2nd Birthday Party. And oh what a fun time I am having.Little Gabe turned two on Valentine's Day, and wow - I can't believe it has been 6 weeks since this party.Holly was so excited to explore a new play space and celebrate with Gabe on this special occasion.Mommy decided that since it was Valentines, I would dress Holly up in a pretty party dress. Here is little Josette from Music class. She is such a sweetie and Holly has the best time playing with her.One of the funnest toys at the party was this cool "clubhouse" that Gabe's parent's made out of an old refrigerator box.Holly had a lot of fun playing inside, hiding, and peeking out at the group. Eventually it was put away to make room to eat and play. But before a lot of people arrived it wasn't too crowded and Holly had a blast. It is a simple reminder of how easy it is to please a child. And what fun you can have with a little imagination. I can't wait until she is a little older and we can build castles and forts, and all kinds of things. Here are the kids swarming around the gate on the stairs, of course you try and block and area off and that is just where all the kids want to be.Here is Holly in her Valentines dress, I love the little roses, we simply don't get enough opportunities to dress up and wear these outfits, so any excuse!Sue and Paul, Gabe's parent's were wonderful hosts, and provided everyone with Pizza for lunch. Holly was quite hungry by this time. And she actually scarfed down almost an entire piece. She sat in my lap and focused on her meal, and even fed herself. Here she is taking a big bite! Mommy quite enjoyed the pizza too, it is a lot of fun to share snacks with Holly. Here is Adrian, another friend from Music class. In fact most of the kids here are in our Post Music Class playgroup. We were invited in by Josette's mom.Michelle is such a sweetie to welcome us. Some of the kids we knew as they are still in class with us, but other's had been involved previously or invited in from other groups. It is so neat how these groups evolve and how interconnected everyone is. I might know two moms from two different places, but when I introduce them, They might know each other from a completely different venue. Its so neat what a small world it is sometimes. Here is little Eli, another friend from the group. We unfortunately don't get to see everyone that often. The group often meets on Monday or Friday mornings, since many of the Mom's in the group work a few days a week.Because Holly is in swim and gym on Fridays and therapy on Wednesday. So we are always delighted to be included in the weekend events that allows us to see our friends. Here is Mister Adrian, He is so adorable, and that's the back of Gabe, I love the sweater vest and the button down shirt, who says boys cloths aren't cute. Here is Adrian and Josette sharing a snack.Holly had a lot of fun exploring and playing with all of Gabe's very cool toys.Yum Yum, looks like some pasta I think, there were a few yummy side dishes along with the pizza. Here is the Birthday Boy with his dad, hanging out in the club house! All grown up and 2 now. Here Holly is taking a ride on Gabe's tricycle. it was a very neat little wooden one. She actually kind of fit on it and everything.I think the Easel was another of her favorite toys. Both of these were inspirations for gifts Holly would be getting in a few weeks at her own Birthday. Here we are setting up for the cake, on the kiddie sized table. Club house is all gone.It was everything I could do to stop Holly both from climbing onto the table, or from removing the table cloth. Here is Gabe hanging out with Momma Michelle and taking a picture of Little Adrian, I think the kids see us with camera's so much, they get very curious.I love this little picture, a man after Holly's own heart. She loves climbing into the toy box and hanging out. Here is the Birthday boy, lighting the candles, singing and blowing them out! Happy Birthday Gabe! This was a great picture Joel took, he is really tall so it worked out, and with my camera the view finder turns so you can still see the shot.I love this little one of Josette, she is coloring on the Magna doodle. Here is the path of destruction left by all of the kiddos, pretty self contained if you ask me.We are wrapping up for the afternoon and Holly was invited to take a balloon home with her. She was very excited by that.I believe this is granny, Gabe is such a peach, i love his little smile. This is such a great picture of them. Here are some of the lovely roses outside (see all the way back in February - it was acting like spring - yet it was 50 and raining on Sunday - 7 weeks later)Here we are saying bye bye! My little Valentines girl, had a wonderful time at her friends party.
