Willard Park

After Music class we decided to stop by Willard park. Since Chloe was out sick, and Montclair isn't our favorite park we decided to go some where closer to home.Holly loves this park and she simply wore out her Tanta Kat. it was our first visit to a park with Kat so I let her have the joy of running around after Holly and playing with her. She came home exhausted. Here Holly is having a little snack with Mommy, about the only time she sat still the hour or so we were at the park. She played on the Dragasaurus, and went down the slide all with Tanta's help. She even got to "Go go go" super fast when Kat pushed her all the way across the park on the little riding car. We took turns keeping an eye on Holly when Kat needed a little break, but I certainly put her to work. Here Holly is trying to get a ride from a little boy at the park. I think he really wanted to get his own ride, but pushing Holly was the next best thing. She was pretty adamant on keeping hold of the little car. She is getting to become more and more of a Dare Devil trying to stand up on the toy. It's things like this that make my heart jump! This is one of my favorite pictures. Holly really wanted to go on the swings, but there were other kids on them so Tanta Kat decided to give her a ride on the tire swing. They are having so much fun!Holly would not drop this little basket no matter what, she was afraid another little girl would pick it up, so she held tight the entire time she was on the swing. She had a great time though! This is a cool airplane push toy. Holly went around and around the sandbox riding it, of course with the help of her Tanta. She has just in the last week or so learned to propel herself a few steps forward on her own. Here Kat and Holly are playing in the sand box. She loves dump trucks, she takes fist fulls of sand and fills the truck and then dumps it out. So Tanta decided to help her.Holly loved watching the pouring sand. I think she likened it to water. She was to enthralled and she kept asking for more, over and over. Of course Tanta could not resist.I love these little close ups. I took several pictures for a I Heart Faces theme a few weeks back. I love the way the sun is shining on her hair and cheek. I love the look of intrigue and curiosity in her eyes.We had a wonderful visit to the park. Tanta Kat has been officially inaugurated into the world of Baby chasing. She said she was terrified of all of the various danger's, edges, slopes, places to trip and fall. And boy did she get a work out. This last shot is of Holly's hair. It is so so long now. I love the little ringlet curls she has, when we wash it and brush it out, it is like half way down her back, but it always wears above her shoulders because of the curls. She so has Daddy's hair!
