New Toys

In addition to the gifts from Oma and Opa we went shopping and got a few more toys for Holly recently. One of them was a Hoola Hoop that we got on our trip to Fairy Land. It was a last minute purchase for me on the spur of the moment. She isn't old enough to be able to actually spin the Hoola Hoop around her waist but she loves it.She carries it all around the house with her and puts it over her head. She likes to spin it around on the carpet and watch it swirl. The toy she loves even more though is the shopping cart we got her. Talk about imaginative play. She's pushing it all around the house empties out the "food" into the pantry or on the kitchen shelves. The food goes in and out of the cart and she loves pushing it. She even puts her Brobee doll into it as if he is sitting in the front just like she does at the super market. She then plays with the food, pretends to eat it and feed her dolls and give it to us to eat. Then there is her Brobee doll. Now she has Toodee, Foofa, and Flex also. The only one she is missing is Muno. Yo Gabba Gabba is her favorite show. She loves it. The Brobee sings the "Party in your Tummy" song and the Toodee sings the "Jumpy jump" song. When we first got the dolls for her she was kind of scared of them. She wasn't sure how they were able to get out of the television, and then when she saw them in both places at once she was confused. But we kept playing with them. For the first week Kat would hide them in various places with her other toys, and she would get mad and throw them into the toybox, but then suddenly one day she loved them. She was carrying them around with her, pressing there hand and making them sing. Soon she had them in her cart, sitting in her chair with her and running with her in a big tight hug. She loves them now. We also got her a realistic looking Doll that we named Iko, I don't have a picture of it, she is still warming up to her, but she has learned to take Iko's shoes on and off, how cute is that! This is the book Kat got while we were in NY. The Things That Go. It has these little flaps that go up and down and there are all these little pictures of trains and cars. She really has fun with it.

That YoGabbaGabba doll is SO cute! But not as cute as Holly! Her play sounds advanced to me! I don't remember Joel pretend feeding his dolls until he was over 2 years old!
