Day @ The Glen - Emerald Glen Park - Part One

A few weeks ago there was a fair at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin. "Day on the Glen" The park is one that we love, and has a wonderful water feature, so our first stop was the playground. We came prepared with Holly bathing suit and her and Chloe spent the first hour or so running through the water fountains and splashing and playing. They were so cute together.I decided to break the post into two sections, this one about the water "park" and the next one will be about the rest of the fair. Here Tanta Kat is running around after Holly in the water. We were all in long skirts so we had to get creative about how to try and stay dry, I think she got wet anyways.Holly had so much fun tromping through the water. I think they changed things up. Last time we were hear the water all drained and you would only get wet when you ran through the sprayers. But today it seems that the drains were not working and the water was filling up the play area, it was about 2-3 inches deep, which was a lot of fun for the girls. They splashed and kicked and had a blast. Here Katherine found a dry spot to sit and keep an eye on Chloe, it was slippery with the extra water. In general the play area was a lot of fun, but one wonders who thought of putting giant concrete blocks in the middle of a water feature. We could have spent the entire day playing in the water, but there was an entire fair going on right around the corner which meant yummy snacks, and fun booths so we eventually had to dry the girls off and check out everything else. But before we did that we headed over to the sand box to play. The little girl waving sort of adopted Holly as her little friend and would follow her around and pour water on her and play with her and give her buckets and other fun things to play with. It was so adorable.

Do you ever show Holly the photos? I wonder if she would understand them. That park will be a nice memory on cold rainy days!

Holly had a great time that day! We all did, it was a fun little fair.

And yes, Holly is starting to take an interest in the photos. Last night we were going through the photos from the pumpkin patch, music class and the store, and Holly was paying attention to each one. She especially liked the ones with Sarah or Chloe. In the past she's been more interested in banging on the laptop keyboard but now she's starting to pay attention to what's on the screen.
