Sickly Saturday

Poor little miss Holly has been under the weather. We aren't really sure what is wrong with her. On Thursday she threw up twice. Once at the Science Museum and then one time at night, neither time was very bad, but they both looked phlegmy, So I was sure she would be getting a cold. But by Friday night she had no more vomiting and she had a Fever. She has had the fever between Normal and 103. The Pediatrician website just says to make sure she stays Hydrated and if there is "Excessive" vomiting or Diarrhea, then call in. But since Thursday she has had no other symptoms. A few dry coughs here and there, but it is basically just crankiness, so we have kept her dosed up on Motrin for two days.
For a while we thought maybe she wasn't sick at all and it was just a teething fever, but I am not sure if it would go that high for teething. its funny, once the Motrin kicks in, she gets so hyper and cheerful she is running around bouncing off the walls in circles, and has so much energy, I guess she has to make up for the time she spent lying comfortably in Mommy's arms whining about not feeling well.

Of course this puts a kink in both feeding and sleeping. She has been up several hours a night for the last few days, and not going to bed till after midnight, and of course we have let her sleep in.

So her naps, her bedtime and all semblance of any routine has gone out the door. She also has very little appetite, even for her bottles which makes giving her her Daily Folic Acid, or her Motrin rather difficult, but overall it hasn't been so bad.

We ran a ton of errands, went for a walk, stopped at the park, and had a pretty laid back weekend. We even went to Ross and got Holly a bunch of new outfits, and to the bookstore, and Babies-R-Us.

Vomiting and a fever could be strep. Does she have a rash? Either way, hope she feels better -- that temp is pretty high for a little lady!
