USS Hornet

Over the Holiday we went on a really fun and unique play date with Mira. It was a last minute thing, Mira had an extra ticket and it sounded like a lot of fun. So we headed over to USS Hornet to explore an air craft carrier. It was so neat to see where the men slept and ate when on long boat rides, there was a torpedo, but I think the best part was the airplanes. Holly really liked them, in fact she wanted to climb into each one which of course the girls could not do. We didn't see everything, but we saw a lot. There were sections that we didn't think would be ideal to see with toddlers the engine room is available for tour but not with kids and there is the navigation area but that is also a guided tour and our kids kinda liked doing there own thing in there own sweet time.
