Gift Exchange with Chloe and Sara

Here we are at a Gift Exchange Play date with Chloe and Sara. This year Holly wanted to get her friends gifts and she picked them out and wrapped them all on her own, she even picked the paper. She got for Chloe a Magnetic Princess Doll dress up set Which she was in envy of, It is neat because you can color some of your own Dresses. Chloe got her a Ballerina Magnetic Doll Dress Up set in return so it worked out really well, as Holly is into Ballerina's at the moment. She also got from Chloe a warm and cozy Tinkerbell Blanket. Which I think was perhaps from Baby Dylan. Holly picked out for him an adorable onezie that looked like Santa Claus.

For Sara we picked out a Board game based on the Little Engine that Could, which was trains and a rail road track with a bridge, although it wasn't Thomas, Holly very specifically wanted this one because the train was blue and there was a ramp/bridge for the train. Sara seemed to really like it. And from Sara we received some very cool Strawberry Shortcake Polly Pockets. Holly is now obsessed with Polly Pockets which I remember her cousin being into, though I recall her being older at the time like six maybe. We have all the Disney Princess ones which was kind of hard for her to dress, so she undresses them and makes me help get the cloths back on, and they constantly want to change there outfits, as all good princesses do. The Strawberry shortcake ones however were great, they seemed more age appropriate or at least easier to get the cloths on, as Holly could nearly do it herself.

Speaking of costume changes, little miss starts off as Minnie Mouse, then it is Snow White and finally later she is wearing a "beautiful Pink Dress" which is actually sleeping beauty but to Holly its Cinderella's pink dress. I believe these last two are new to Chloe, which she got from her older cousins. The Snow White one is amazing, its an official from the Disney store expensive one and you can really tell the quality difference, not that I think I would spend 60$ on a dress up dress, but it was super nice, there is a reason it cost what it does when you compare it to the 18$ ones from Costco.

The play date is a dinner and bath event as well, we all brought a dish, I made Tuna Noodles and we had Hot Dogs and Salad and Ice Cream, it was very yummy and though Holly hardly ate at all it was fun to all have dinner together. Another notable event was really cute when the girls where having a tea party. Us mom's were gooing over Dylan in the living room and the girls wandered into the kitchen. We could hear them playing and having a tea party so we didn't think much about it. they they said they were making apple juice and lemonade for the tea party. We glanced in all all looked ok, but then later Holly was bringing me a bottle of water and I was suspicious. It turns out that they found the bottled water and figured out how to open it and then got an apple and a lemon from the fruit basket on the counter and mixed them all up, with the water into the large tea pot. And then of course were pouring tea for each other. Needless to say they made a huge mess, but gosh darn was it smart and creative we could hardly be made at all and just cleaned up.

The did end up trashing the house, as since we were cleaning up int he kitchen and again distracted by Dylan being cute in that room they went back to the playroom and ended up making up some type of game where basically every single toy, bracelet, dress, kitchen item, ect, we thrown from the opposite side of the play room to the other. It took the three us us with them helping about 30 minutes to get a handle on it and then Kathy finished up while Chloe and Holly took a Bath.

They had so much fun playing in the water that I didn't even need to take out and toys, they each got a cup and a doll and they were content pouring and washing. Then it was on to Cosy Pajamas and we headed home. it was a fun evening.
