A few months ago we went on Vacation

We joined Chloe and her family at a cabin near Lake Tahoe

Here the girls are already getting set for a sleep over

We had just arrived after a almost 3 hour drive and they were eager to play

We were there only for a long weekend, Friday Night till Sunday night,

It was a wonderful trip. The girls had so much fun being together

They started off exploring the Cabin, finding the rooms and getting into trouble

Since it was already late and everyone was tired from unpacking the cars

We hung out and watched a movie after dinner

There was Firewood out and the girls decided to use it to make letters

Holly is really into writing her name, so she made an H

The video we were watching was a "Hello Kitty" movie

Holly loves "Hello Kitty" it is one of her favorite new shows

The next day we were ready to venture out into the snow

The girls were not super fans of the gloves but we tried them anyways

I love these little snow pants, they are so cute on them

Here is Holly out in the snow right in front of the house.

See our car down below... yes the drift is really that high, maybe 15 feet?

It was beautiful outside, Snowy yes, but actually not that cold

Holly just had on long sleeves, but she didn't want her jacket or gloves

Like Mommy she likes the cold and I think runs a little hot besides.

Though without gloves her hands did get super cold.

We decided to drive to a spot we heard was good for sledding

Here are Chloe and Eric heading down the Hill. Tyler and his Daddy Ken were there too

They drove up on Saturday morning to join us for the weekend.

Holly went down the hill once, when we first arrived but I think it was a little too much

She was scared and refused for the rest of the day to try it again

She was however happy to dig and scoop She had on a jacket this time to stay a little warmer

And dryer too, but as you can see I was fine with just a heavy sweater and scarf

She decided to make a Snow Bunny

And before long was ready to ditch the gloves and jacket too.

She was ready to head back to the Cabin

And just wanted to cuddle with her Mommy

It had been a tough morning of new activities

But we were able to stay a little longer and watch and the Daddies all took turns

They wanted to Sled down the hill too.

Here are all of the Mommies and babies

making Snow Men and Snow Bunnies

The kids really liked being outside in the snow

It was so beautiful outside, everywhere we turned, trees and snow covered peaks

Holly has been asking to go to the "Snow House" weeks after our trip

She likes spending all that time with Chloe, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Bath, Bed, Playtime

Here is Ken swooshing down the hill, flying over the bump

Erik took a turn too, it was a challenge to hit the hill just right

The guys had to go several times to make it the whole way down without a fall

It was great to relax and it was our first vacation for a long time

Its kinda funny how the kids have so much fun just digging

Scooping snow and filling buckets bring them so much joy

Holly had her new chewy and she liked chomping on the snow too

Tickle tickle

Hugs and snuggles

And snow angles too. The next day we stayed closer to "home"

The girls were scared of the big hills and we had a huge backyard full of snow

Our room was up on the second floor and had a balcony. The snow went up to the balcony level

And I could simply sit on the porch in the comfort fo the cabin and watch

Soon the sun was beginning to set... It was so beautiful

Here we are all having dinner together

Yummy pasta, who doesn't like that

Then the girls were playing together, they are so good at sharing

That evening they
took a warm bath together

And piled on the blankets in there PJs to watch another movie

I think we tried Beauty and the Beast but Holly got scared

Here the girls are playing with some of the "House Toys" making a mess as usual

Not hours before we had to clean up and head out

Here is the View from the porch, it certainly was a challange getting everything in and out

We were a little nervous all weekend about these steps, but after going up and down about 100 times Holly got a lot of practice

One last trip out the back to sled a little

Here Holly and Chloe even went together one time down the little slope

We decided next time we would do the "bunny slopes" first and once the kids got bored try the bigger hills

Here Holly tried again sitting in Daddy's lap

By the end of the afternoon she was a pro sledder

But it was time to get ready to go back home

Bye Bye Snow House, we had a wonderful time and hope to visit again next year.

Great photos! I feel like I was there! Those sunset photos are gorgeous. And only a girl with a topiary rabbit in front of her house would think to make a "snow bunny"! Love, Granny
