On New Year's Eve we were invited over to Ruby's House for a Party

It was a pot luck, and we celebrated when the Ball Dropped on the East Coast at 9:00

Holly loved having new toys to try out, it is always fun exploring a new place

And of course no party is complete without party hats

I brought a variety for the kids to use, they were a hit.

So were all of Ruby's neat toys

She had this really cool tent in her room, it made a great play house

There was another playhouse in the living room made from a box,

The best kind of course. It had such a pretty mural painted on it.

Ruby was an excellent host, sharing all of her toys

Holly found some stamps to play with

But this drum was a favorite of hers.

The kids also did puzzles and played dress-up

The grown-ups all got to chat and eat and enjoy the evening.

Holly tried on all the different hats.

To prepare we had watched an episode of Max and Ruby about New Year's Eve.

So I think she sort of got it. At least the part about saying Happy New Years

and blowing into the horn and noise makers

The green stars was my favorite of the "hats" I wore them most of the night,

But in the end, Holly insisted on a turn. Happy New Year's! It was a great party, we had a lot of fun.
