The Secret Lives of Bees

Isabel always finds the most unique activities for us to take the girls too.On this particular day we were at the Richmond libraryThey had a local Bee Farmer visiting to give a neat presentationThe girls were super curious about the bees, there was an actual hive with a honeycomb insideWe even got to see the queen bee. They also had lots of Honey samples to give out.We learned all about how the bees pollinate and about the different types of beesIt was a lot of fun and very informativeEven if the girls were a menace. We tried not to let them be too disruptiveBut at there age it was hard to get them to sit and pay attention. Regardless we all had a fun time.

Did you know that I used to keep bees? They really are fascinating. If I lived in the country, I'd do it again.
When Joel was 2 he was in a playgroup, and we visited interesting things like that...turkeys hatching from incubators, peacock farms, sheep farms... I think that's why Joel is so smart and curious!
