We have really enjoyed attending Family night at the Berkeley YMCA
It is every Friday from 7:00-9:00 and as part of swim and gym we have received a few passes.
Since we are not able to really go every week, we have been able to share these with our friends.
It was such a treat for Holly to have two of her best friends there to play with her.
On this particular visit, as an added treat Tanta Kat joined us.
One of Holly's new favorite things to do it climb up on this wall.
She learned it from Chloe, Mommy being much shorter then Eric struggles a little.
By the time she gets to the top, she is hanging on and completely above my head.
It is amazing how well she climbs up, but she needs my total support.
The worst part is that she doesn't realize that she can't just let go. She just assumes I will be there.
The kindergym is such a wonderful place for the kids to play
It has a really rich play environment, lots of mats and climbing structures.
It is wonderful for there coordination and balance
It totally stretches there skills, which is why I think its so good for swim and gym too.
Chloe is a pretty adventurous climber so it is great for Holly to play here with her.
She watches all the crazy things that she does and often tries them herself.
On this particular night, Sara also joined us to play.
The three girls play so well together it is fun to watch
They take turns, share with each other, and make she they are all happy.
See what a dare devil that Chloe is, she is going down head first.
The slide is really steep too, for weeks Holly was afraid to go down it at all.
and on her first visit, Chloe is diving off.
She is just too cute. Now Holly does it too, and shows all her swim and gym friends also.
This is a fun slide to walk up also, they liked crawling up and sliding belly down too.
The there is the Bouncy House. Holly loves to play here
She jumps, she crashes, she rolls
She can now hop from the top bump over the yellow line to the next one.
She jumps super high too. It is always fun to jump with friends though
They end up bouncing each other around which they think is hilarious.
I really like this climber, but I have to be pretty vigilant when she climbs on it.
She slips a lot, bumps her head often and doesn't always know where to put her various limbs.
Her new thing is to climb up and then "walk" around the edge of the structure.
The problem is that when she puts her first foot onto the next area, there is no room for her second foot.
We are working on this, getting her to be a little more coordinated
She loves rocking on this crescent mat.
It is especially fun to ride with someone else.
Here the girls are rough housing, you would think they are boys the way they tackle each other.
But they sure do have a lot of fun with it.
After an hour or two at Kindergym we usually head to the pool and swim.
