Emeryville Spring Family Festival

It feels like spring lasted about 3 days and now it is summer already. It was cold and rainy all through May, and now that summer heat and it's hot we never really got that spring feeling. But it seems there were indeed a few nice days here and there. You can see Holly's long sleeves under her Spring dress. It was a cool day at the festival but we were hopeful for the sun and lots of fun.It was exciting to see a jumpy house, it made Holly's day and it was free so she could jump as much as she wanted. They also had a cool fire truck for the kids to explore and learn about fire safety.Holly was very interested in that and wanted to climb in and check out all of the levers and dials. She played with the steering wheel, and climbed on all of the seats. But it wasn't long before she headed back to the jumpy house her favorite place to be.The festival was at a park off of point Emery which is the little land mass that sticks out behind the Chevy'sI hadn't realized there is a Marina back there, its near the Trader Vic's.There were lots of little booths set up even one for Holly's old day care and we got to say Hi to some of her old teachers. One of the booths had this parachute out for the kids to play with, so with just Holly in the middle, Joel, Kat and I spun her around.Tashi and Berrin came as part of our meet-up group, but we didn't see that much of them. There was an Easter Egg hunt, but Holly was too little, and she was completely afraid of the Easter Bunny. All in all though we had a fun time and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.
