It's a Small World is a Long Long Ride

We were headed over to toon town, but it closed early in prep for the light and firework showsSo we decided to try out it's a Small World. I was a little nervous but optimisticHolly dropping her pink car into the water as we got into a boat should have been a sign of things to come. But our last boat ride went well so I calmed her and we moved forwardThings went from bad to worse, the only good thing was that no one could here her screaming cries over the loud music. The Happy land was a little too happy for our likingThe problem was really that it was room after room after room, all inside and very loud and bright.Inside each room I was able to slightly calm Holly talk her down off the cliff so to speakFind a distraction for her such as this Donald DuckOr this Ariel, she would be calm, almost happy for a moment, looking for something familiarBut the boat would make a twist and turn and float into a new brighter, happier, louder land. The dark tunnels in between I think were her favorite partsBut she did like seeing the character's she knew like Woody and JessieShe had her mommy whispering in her ear and her paci and blankie to "protect her"But really she just kept asking to go home. I felt so bad that the ride was so very longFinally the end was near, and she was happy for that.

No jumping out of the boat there either! Too bad! But I'm so glad there were so many things she did like at the park! love, Granny
