Summer Concert Series

Here we are in Alameda at Crab CoveThey had this cool summer concert seriesThere is a big grassy field where they set up a stageEveryone sets up blankets and chairs and enjoys the music.Holly was more interested in exploring the parkShe loved walking on these stones, balancing barefoot as she walked across.Over the summer there were maybe five of these concertsWe ended up making it to two of themThis one as a Salsa BandIt was fun to have the music in the backgroundBut I preferred the previous concert, it was a Micheal Jackson cover band.I knew the songs so I liked that betterWe wished Daddy could be with usThe concert was on a Friday nightBut it started at like 5:00 and we had to leave earlier to get thereSince it was a bit of a driveMore so though I think he would have enjoyed the musicHolly was of course happy to have Coco with herSo that made up for it. It also helped keep her putAt least a little bit of the time. She did end up running around a bit and exploringWe took the kids up to the stage to dance for a bit too. They of course loved that.Holly was happy however to check out our neighbor's strollersClimbing in and latching the clips it kept her entertained for quite a bit of time. Then there was all of the snacking and eatingSo we kept ourselves quite busy. This was before daylight savings time when the days were still really longI miss that now, it gets dark at like 5:30 in the summer we would stay at a park till 9:00.Holly found this little tree while exploringShe just had to climb up and check it out. That was the least of the mischief she caused, it follows her around.
