Ruby's Birthday - 8/8

Happy Birthday Ruby!Here we are at a cool little park near Lake MerrittWhen we first arrived we headed over to say helloBut Holly could hardly be contained, she had to go and play.She climbed and jumped and flew down the slide.These cool little chairs she found under the play structureThis was the most awesome tree near the lake. Holly was drawn to it.Daddy and Holly took a walk by the lake and she ran over to the tree and just had to climb on it.Eventually they found there way back over to the partyOur friends were all starting to arrive and Holly was ready to have some snacks.After a bit we took another walk.Just around the corner was a nature preserveLike a Bird place specificallyHolly really liked watching all of the ducks and birds flying aroundIt was a really fun little area to exploreThough we had to watch our steps ;-PAt the party everyone received shovel's as party favors.This was really great for playing and digging in the sand.Holly was super excited about that.Here is the Birthday Girl and her Mommy having some lunch with us.And of course Chloe too. It was a yummy snack.Here are our lovely Hostesses.Miss Ruby is getting a little ride.Before long Holly found herself on the swing.She at the time was newly exploring the big girl swingSo she didn't go nearly as high as she wanted to when she was on it herself.But on Daddy's lap she could go "Higher!"Next we were all called back to the picnic area to sing Happy Birthday.Little Ruby blew out her candles and we all had some cake and cupcakes too.So Yummy! Just enough sugar to rev there engines and it was time to play again.The little rascal slipped out of her shoesAnd ran back and forth around on the rampShe was also in a super climbing mood.All the way to the top of this twisty barShe is such a dare devilAlways wanting to go "Up, Up, Up!"To the very tippy top.She is also a new fan of hangingShe is just learning how to do it and is very excited.Though I think standing on mommy's face might be her favorite part.The party was great. We had an awesome time, Happy Birthday Ruby.

LeeLou's Birthday - 8/1

Another late summer Birthday I am just getting around to posting.This was a wonderful party for LeeLou at the Park near the Beach in AlamedaAll of our friends were in attendance and it was a beautiful summer day.This is Snow White, a Pinata, trying to get her open was definitely interesting.In the end, the Toddler's were not able to beat her down, we Mommies had to do it.There was a large open field for the kids to run and play in.Birthday hats were lots of fun to wear and everyone put those on.I was surprised that Holly would keep hers on for so long.There were lots of Balloons hanging about, Holly had a blast with those.And of course the party favors.She huffed, and she puffed, and she blew it right up.We had a lot of fun celebrating with LeeLouDancing in the bubblesmaking them all go pop, pop, popThe kids played a really fun game of Balloon toss, it was so very cute.It quickly deconstructed into a game of throw the water Balloon and make it pop, and that was fun too.Then it was time for cake and cupcakesYum, Yum! Our Birthday Girl blows out all of her candles.
