New Friends, Fun Day

We had this amazingly fun play date at Sadie Dey's last month. I had posted it on both of my Meet-up Mom's groups, and we met several new friends. It was great to meet so many new babies.This is our new friend Ella with her mom Janet. Ella was about 13 months old when we took this picture. She was a little shy but very sweet.Of course Chloe was co-hosting the event with Holly and ready to greet all of her new friends. They are like two little peas in a pod.These our are friends Yodit and her son Nathaniel. He is about two months younger then Holly's. We haven't seen them for a while. Nathaniel is really good with the other kids even though he is pretty big for his age.Here is Chloe's mommy. She is wearing such a pretty dress. Chloe is starting to ween during the day so her Mommy can wear dresses again! Fun.This is Seth. His Mom's name is Lizette and he is only a few days different in age from Holly. We actually know Seth from when he was around 11 months old. His parents took the same parenting class as us and they played while we were in the six week class.This is Tyson and Tanner playing with new friends Kate and Flynn. Tanner just turned one and Flynn is about ten months old. its funny because the two boys are so big, they weigh more the Chloe already. Here Holly is exploring and making friends with the older kids. So many of the mom's there were in our group I was constantly introducing myself to everyone to try and figure out if they were there for our event, since there were many new people.It's nice having a mix of ages in the group because the mom's with younger babies get to see what lies ahead for them, and holly is very intrigued with the little guys. Here is Miss Chloe reading a book. She snuck into the quiet room and found it. It is really great that she isn't ripping pages from the book, Holly isn't good with the none board books yet.It was so fun running into Lizette again, I hadn't seen her in like 6 months and didn't realize she joined the group. She works, so we haven't seen them since, but I am hoping we will again soon. Seth is a sweetie.This is Easton taking a break to have a snack with his mom Alisa. He is another big guy for his age. He was as big as Holly and just turned one recently. This is Neil who is another new member of the group. His daughter's nick name is Kika. She is about 20 months old. She is such a good eater, we were impressed and I think it encouraged Holly to finish her own lunch.But as usually she would rather graze and pan handle then actually sit for a meal and I tend to oblige her. She eats more when i don;t try and force her to sit in one place, I think there are too many distractions.It had been a while since we last came to Sadie Dey's so she was eager to run and play and reacquaint herself to the play area. But before long her and Chloe were Cozy in there adopted clubhouse, guarding the slide.Here she is saying more, I think she wanted another snack, I was letting her eat some cheese and fruit while playing. She is concentrating so her little tongue sticks out.She gets this habit from her daddy. She is also in the Habit of patting herself on the head when she is thinking. It is so cute!All in all we had a very fun and successful play date. We got to go to a new place for many, and we all met new friends. We ended up staying almost until closing time, which was unexpected. Holly had a very late nap and passed out in the car on the way home. We had a blast.
