I Heart Faces: Week 20 - "Faces & Flowers"

So I am going to loosely interpret this week's theme of "Faces & Flowers" and say that the bright printed flower's on Holly's dress count. I totally intended to go outside today and take pictures with the roses, or the white and blue flowers out front, or maybe even the ones that look like lady Bugs, but instead it rained all day. I knew I had some pictures of Holly at Lincoln park with the roses, but then realized those were on my iPhone and of pretty poor quality, so in the end, I thought this picture of Holly and Chloe sitting on the Curb at the park giggling was so adorable, it is outside and there are flowers. Hope you enjoy, I took about 100 when they were sitting here so cute together, maybe i should make a flip book video or something!

Week 15: I Heart Desserts!

So this was supposed to be my Entry for I Heart Faces, the theme this week is Desserts. I missed the entry deadline, which I was really bummed about, so I figured I would share these photo's with you anyway... Which do you like best? Joel lakes the Apple Tart, I like this first one the cupcakes with Muno, Joel's second choice was the other cupcake photo, I really liked the Chocolate muffins too. It was hard to decide and it was my indecisiveness which ultimately lead to my not being able to post this week (Blah!)

Hand's On Fun - I Heart Faces

So I have been finding myself going into the archives and finding some great baby pictures of Holly these past few weeks to post for I Heart Faces. Week 8 of 2010 has a theme of "Hand's on Fun" I had a few close up pictures of Holly holding onto Daddy's "hand" which of course means her little fist wrapped tightly around his pinky finger, but there was no context in the photo, so instead I decided to post this picture that Holly's Daddy took of Holly holding onto Mommy's had, I guess I just like the composition.

It's hard to believe my little gremlin was ever that small and immobile and delicate, back then I certainly couldn't imagine today, and today it is getting ever so hard to remember her being so little, I keep seeing pictures of a "time" where I remember feeling, "Oh, she is so grown up now" and compared to "Now" she was itsy bitsy, they say it goes by fast, but you can;t really imagine how fast it really is when you live it day by day and then wonder where all those days went.

I thought you might want to check out this other post with her Great Grandmother from a year Earlier. I can't believe how much Holly has changed.

I am so glad Holly got to meet her again this year. The sad part is, I fear neither of them will remember it. I guess that is why the magic of camera's are so amazing, as Holly gets older I can tell her stories about her Great grandmother, and show her pictures from when they were together, so she will feel like she is part of her.

I think one of the things so bad about living so far away, is that you only get to visit once a year, it was Sad this year when I went to see my Grandmother, because her Dementia had gotten much worse, I think before we left there was a glimmer of recognition in her eye, she loved being int he photos and holding Holly, she didn't want to let go, but she didn't say our names or know who we were even when we told her.

The year before, when we told her who we were, you could tell she remembered, it clicked. She may not look that different, but sadly, she was much further away this time.

Sweet Dreams - Week 48: I Heart Faces

So this is what Holly looks like almost every day for her nap. Since the room isn't dark she has gotten into the habit of pulling her blanky over her face. The theme description indicated that the face must be clearly seen in the photo, I am assuming they mean no dark pictures, and this is clear enough, even though it is obscured.

Isn't she so precious, when she is like this, she reminds me of the precious baby she once was, rather then the rambunctious gremlin i get to spend my lovely afternoons with !

I Heart Faces - Tushies! Week 47

Week 47 of I heart faces is themed Tushies. I had two amazing Tushie shots. One of Holly in the Bath and one of Sarah at the beach crawling away from me with Sand on her little cute Tushie. But Alas, now Naked Pictures allowed, even of cute little baby bums, so I decided the next best thing would be ruffles. I am really missing nice summer days laying around at the Beach, especially now that it is Day Light Savings Time, it sadly gets dark at like 5:30, in the summer we were still at the beach at 5:30. Or the park, or simply outdoors playing, I am starting to get a little stir crazy by the end of the day.

Anyways, this was from my group of "Last Days of Summer" pictures, Holly chasing after two older girls into the water at the beach just as the day is changing from late afternoon into early evening and we are getting ready to go. In the distance you can see mountains on the other side of the bay somewhere along the peninsula.

This year Holly has both a Lady Bug and a Witch Costume. We took this picture last week at Chloe's House, we had a pre-Halloween Dress-up Play Date, More pictures to follow.

She has this new game where she tries everything on as a hat, she particularly likes buckets and baskets, of course this week when i tried to get her to wear the witches hat she refused.
