Sleepover

Last weekend we had a sleep over with Mira

Holly was so super excited and counted down the days and then the hours and then the minutes until she arrived on Saturday afternoon.

The girls played a cool Sofia the first board game during lunch

Then decided to go outside and play in the back yard

Holly wanted our neighbor Stella to meet Mira so we invited her to join us for a bit

The girls invented a sandwich game where they crashed into each other on the slide

It was hilarious and interesting to see the type of "rough housing" girls do compared to boys

Baby Lyra didn't want to miss out on any of the fun

Here she is trying to eat a flower Holly picked for her

As tumbely as they were it was cute how the girls were being careful if each other

Here we are under the Cherry Blossom tree in full bloom

Lyra loves being outside and she really likes watching the big kids play

Here is an awesome VIDEO Joel made in slow motion that includes some jumping and sliding from the sleepover:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqHit74jBlQ

The girls did a great job taking turns picking what to play including doll house, babies, doc mcstuffuns, pinkalicious uno, and this fun balloon popping game that was a birthday gift from Leekou (thank you!)

They had yummy spaghetti dinner and then bath time with colored water and bubbles.  Each girl picked one color, Holly red and Mira Blue and they got to watch it turn purple.

While drying off they watched toy story if terror which Mimi had picked earlier in the week.

Then they were off to bed, not a problem at all... At least the big ones that is

Sleepover Success - Sorta Mostly!

So Holly spent the night at Mira's yesterday and in all broad strokes it was a great success!  She didn't miss me, only asked about me once, and had an awesome time.  Leelou came over to join the girls for dinner and dress up

Holly had two slices of Pizza and yummy Chocolate ice cream!  When she was ready for bath time she kindly to Leelou it was time to go home.  Only minor bath drama with water temperature and a show later they were all teeth brushed and tucked in.

But two doses of Melatonin in Chocolate milk layer, one at 8:30 and another at 10 and Holly was still awake.  Mira passed out around 10 but Holly said she couldn't sleep and was up till about 11:15 (thank you again tita Mai)

Luckily there was no more night time wake-ups from Holly at least but safely even with the late night stay ups the girls were up and ready to play at 7:00AM.

Thank you Uncle Ron for getting up, I hear Holly ate all her breakfast, scrambled eggs and toast and there was a fun game of Hide and Seek too.

We didn't even need to come and pick her up till 10:45 they had an awesome morning playing (tooth fairy) when I arrived and she was in a great mood...

For another two hours or do when after making me cake (more on that in my next post) the only 7+ hours of sleep caught up to her and she was a cranky whiney mess for the rest of the day.  We had to force her to stay awake till 7:00PM at which time she was knocked out before her head hit the pillow.

All in all it was a Success but I have learned some ideas for next time!

Holly and Mira's First Sleepover

Holly had her first sleepover with Mira a few weeks back.  It was Valentine's Day and her Mommy and Daddy had a night out.  We were more then happy to have her spend the evening with us.  The girls had such a blast!  They played of course!  But then they decided to form a Band.  Mira was Hilarious, they named the Band and then we were informed that the Band had limited tour dates and would only be in town a few days.  They played various instruments, each a different show, I have some video's.  When we applauded and said Bravo, they took bows.  Joel had the silly idea of tossing Flowers onto the stage, which they loved and of course insisted upon each performance afterwards.  hen of course there were the repeated Encores, which we loved.

Later they played with the soft dollies, and they invented a game called pregnancy where they each had a soft dolly in their belly and it was born and then they named their babies.  They repeated this several times, baby Pascale, Baby Cinderella, Ect. Ect.    Later we had dinner, yummy pasta, Mimi such a good eater had a bunch of peas too.  Some more playing and then it was Bed Time.  Not before a little down time with the iPads.  And of course then they got all riled up again jumping on the bed.  But in no time at all they were fast asleep.  Mira woke up a few times, I think she was having growing pains, but it wasn't an issue at all.  Joel ended up sleeping downstairs in the guest room and when it was time for me to go to bed I joined the girls.

Holly;s first sleepover was an awesome success!!
