We recently joined a new playgroup that is just Mom's in Berkeley, but for the most part we have not been able to attend many play dates because they are in the morning.
A few weeks ago Holly was on Spring Break so we were able to meet some of the local mom's. We wanted to make an effort to meet kids who might eventually be in school with Holly.
This little girl was named Lily and she lives in Downtown Berkeley. This was the roof of her building. It was such a unique place to have a play date
It was nice to finally meet all of the mom's and Holly really enjoyed exploring and running around the maze of patio's on the roof.
Lily was about a year younger then Holly and two sister's also came who were three and five
There were lots of yummy snacks and drinks, but not a lot of toys to play with. We were able to get the kids to engage in a game of Hide and Seek
And one of the little boys brought some toy cars and trains that all of the kids wanted to play with, that however was a lesson in turn taking as there was not enough for everyone.
It was a little tough being the new kid 9Mom) in the group when everyone already knew each other. But I hope this summer we can attend more events and keep making new friends.
