On Wednesday Afternoon we go to a Developmental Playgroup
It is a wonderful little program in Alameda at the Parks and Recreation Center
Funded by California First Five. The program is 90 minutes and run very much like Small Voices was
Like a Mini-Preschool with various developmental activities and stations set up
And art project each week and a theme where all the games are focused
There is also circle time and snack
Our friends Nathan and Tyler are in the program with us, and we are making new friends too
Holly gets to paint and use glue and do puzzles and tons of sensory activities
The center has a ton of different toys which Holly loves to rummage through and even a dress up area
Here she is with Oma washing hands after painting.
I think she had a lot of fun showing Oma around and having her play the games with her.
Here is a nature station and Holly is listening for the Ocean in a sea shell
At the end we have parachute Time and sing some songs
Holly loves to ride around in circles as we sing Ring Around the Rosey
And then we go underneath to sing London Bridge
We always have a wonderful time it has been a really great program and a welcome part of our mid week activities.

That looks like a really great program! The parachute thing looks like a lot of fun, and it helps them focus and circle up I think. I'm sure Oma had a wonderful time! love, Granny
