We recently were invited over to a play date at Berrin, William, Theo and Throy's house. Theo is around 5 and Throy was just 4 months at the time.
Holly was quite intrigued with all of the Big Kid toys that she could get herself into. It didn't take too long for Berrin to put up some barrier's to keep her little hands out of trouble.
Sarah also came to play which was a lot of fun for Holly, sometimes they are two peas in a pod.
Here the girls are playing peek-a-boo under the sparkly little hat.
They are such sweeties. They are in a phase now where they like to dress up and put things on there heads.
This is the coolest chair, Holly plays with it every time we go to Ikea, she was so excited to see it at Theo's and get to play with it.
Here is Sarah and her Daddy playing on the Piano, another fun highlight of the evening. Both girls were really into it.
Later on in the evening Theo was playing songs for us, and Holly was his biggest fan. She would clap her hands and ask for more after each one.
She also had a lot of fun sitting in Throy's bumbo seat. It is amazing that she can fit in it, but truth me told, I think Throy is about 20 lbs already, Holly is only 25.
The play date was a pot luck, I don;t even remember what we brought now, I think it was a desert.
I do remember the amazing meal that Berrin and William cooked, it was so very yummy. There was a Salad and Break and really good and flavorful Chicken and rice,
Here little Mis-chievous is getting into Sarah's diaper bag, she always does this.
I try and zipper it up to keep her out of trouble, but recently she has learned how to open zippers.
Here is Theo eating his dinner, its hard to believe he is only 5, kids look so much older these days.
Rhonda also joined us for a little while, She left the kids home with Ryan, but it was fun for her to be out and have some grown up conversation.
Here is Raymond, he is almost 4. He is actually really good with the little kids though, which is always nice for an older boy.
Here is his Mom, Bethany in the background and he is snacking on Cheese cake, Now I remember, that's what we brought!
The girls didn't really eat much, well Holly didn't. She had a bite of the cheese cake and I thought she would have liked it much more then she did.
But she wasn't as big of a fan as I expected. Based on how much she loves cheese.
Here is Berrin's Dust Buster. She had to clean up some type of spill and Holly was first in line to help her out.
She was so intrigued by it, and so we let her push it back and forth and help clean.
Here is Holly with Daddy, he loves giving her big hugs!
And Sarah's daddy Richard is give Theo a ride on his back.
Here the girls are taking another whirl on the piano.
While the boys decided to play ball in the house.
It was short lived, but they were riled up!
Aren't they so cute! Those boys were so funny, and they entertained the girls.
Here they even gave them a turn rolling the ball back and forth. it was a good change from the over hand throwing of earlier.
Here Joel is having some Turkish Coffee, it was delicious he reported, Berrin is from Turkey so it was also very authentic.
Here is Sarah having a little after dinner snack. She loves Holly's pirate Booty.
Our Pot luck play date was supposed to also be a family game night, where we would take turns watching the kids and the grown ups could play some board games.
But we were having so much fun all socializing and were all so busy chasing around the kiddos that we never got around to that part.
It would be fun do do again, we had a blast. Berrin and family were such wonderful hosts. Theo is also really good with Holly and Sarah, very careful around them.
But Holly was getting ready to go. She gave herself a timeout and took a break to watch a video, so we knew it was time for us to go. Everyone had a great time!
