Here we are at Kirby Beach celebrating Cole's Birthday
It was such an exciting place to have a party and our first trip to the beach of the season.
It was located down from the cliffs near the Golden Gate Overlook on the Marin side of the Bay
On this particular weekend Joel had to work and couldn't come with us.
But instead we asked Tanta kat. Also in attendance was Sarah and her parents.
The water was really cold, Holly went in for just a moment, but ran back to the sand.
We had a backpack full of toys and snacks and some buckets to play in the sand.
Holly wanted us to fill the bucket with water so she could dump it out on herself and the sand
But she didn't want to go back into the wake to refill it herself. Luckily she had many helpful people all around.
Sarah liked the water and didn't mind getting her feet wet at all.
Here is our Birthday Boy Cole and his Mommy Aleutia running back in from the waves.
It was a beautiful and relaxing day to be in the sun and listen to the waves.
Holly has already grown out of this sun hat, but on this day it kept her face from getting a burn.
I love this little surf suit, though for some reason she won't let me put it on her any more.
We recently got her a new bathing suit, two peice tank top and she likes it a lot.
But for a sunny outside day it was nice to have her covered up a little more.
This is the face of a girl who doesn't like cold water on her toes. I thought she would love it.
All of her friends were running in and out of the waves, letting the water chase them, dipping in there toes.
Running through the sand. Laura and Body were in attendance as well.
Since it was Holly's first time back to the beach, I guess she wasn't ready to jump back into things.
Sarah on the other hand was ready for a great time, she dug and play played in the sand.
She took walks to the water to fill the bucket, even bring some for Holly to play with.
Sometimes Holly would ask Tanta Kat to fill the bucket for her. She needed the water for her sand castle.
But before long she was ready to climb back up the stairs to the picnic area
It was quite a walk for a little tyke, so we took many stops along the way.
Here the girls are running after some fun balls, ones that they threw down from the top.
Holly liked playing on the stairs and went up and down these several times while we played.
In the picnic area there was a sand box which the kids had a lot of fun with.
There were so many toys for everyone to play with, and even some bubbles.
Soon it was time to have Birthday Cake. The cake was Thomas the Engine themed.
Cole loved the cake and took a big handful of Blue frosting with him after blowing out the candles.
The Classic cake shot, Cole is so big now, and his hair is just more blonde then ever.
Yum Yum! There were other snacks too, lots of cheese and fruits and crackers.
Holly is not a fan of Birthday Cake, Tanta Kat tried to share her piece with her.
She ended up just having a few licks of the blue frosting
But then she was ready to play some more. The party was great and we had a lot of fun.
It was such a beautiful park and we had such a nice time.
But the day was ending and it was time for us to hike our way back to the car.
Holly was tired after a long long day and she wanted a ride.
See that sparkle up there, that's where the cars were parks, by the overlook, we were down on the coast.
It was a beautiful drive back home and a wonderful day. Happy Birthday Cole!@
