This is how Holly responded when I told her that we couldn’t go swimming today. It was raining hard and the weather was bad but we woke up in time from our nap and we were ready to go. Then Mommy realized the date and remembered that class was cancelled. It is apparently Lincoln’s Birthday today which means we can’t go swimming. I tried to explain this to Holly but she just wasn’t having it.
Her ability to cruise is astounding. She can pretty much circle the entire room and does so pretty fast, over and over again.
She has a thing though about not standing up in the middle of the room. If you try and stand her she often will not put her feet out so she won’t be supported.
This morning Joel woke up early around 7:30 but forgot to wake Holly. She slept till about 9:15 when Katie arrived for Therapy. She was a little slow to get started, with needing a change and a bottle and then having to warm up to Katie. There were new toys for her to play with but she wasn’t interested right away. So Katie whiped out the bubbles and she liked those.
One of the new toys was this ball dropper. Holly would put the ball into the hole on the center and watch it roll through the exit but didn’t quite get to put it in the top. She did a few times with help but mostly she liked putting it “in” on the bottom section.
Joel let me sleep until almost 10:00 and then he needed to head to work so pop tart in hand and Holly playing nicely with Katie I sat and watched. We worked with the beads again and I remembered to take some pictures this time. This is how Katie shows her to make a big stretch. She doesn’t really like it. She will do it a few times but then gets aggravated. Therapy was over around 10:30 and then we had breakfast.
It was a long day, the weather was bad and we didn’t go out at all after remembering swim class was cancelled. It even hailed this morning. But we did have a lot of fun. Holly enjoyed her Ball Pit throwing the balls out repeatedly and thought it was hilarious.
Since she only took one long nap she was pretty tired by the end of the day and drifted off to sleep at 9:30 which was wonderful because we were able to eat dinner, watch Battlestar and the new Joss Whedon show Dollhouse. There was a lot of back story that needed to be set-up in the new show but overall we really enjoyed it and for now at least will continue to watch.

I don't think I have ever seen her make such ugly faces...lol
Poor Holly! But how cool that she understood what you said when you told her there was no swimming today. I think if I told Quinn there'd be no milk today, he'd just keep playing.
