Happy Birthday Tanta Kat

All of these past few posts have been from my Parent's visit in August. They were here to celebrate Kat's Birthday. They took the train here, if I recall correctly they flew to Denver and took the train from there. It was a beautiful trip through the mountains and TahoeThey are coming back for Holly's Birthday in March. They scheduled the trip almost a year ago due to the booked trains. If I recall they are flying to Chicago this time and taking one train across to Seattleish and then another down.I am sure it too will be a wonderful and relaxing trip and chance to see the countryMy Dad loves trains and we were sure to make several visits to fun and exciting train placesOn his new set up he will have a model of the Emeryville Train station, it will be very coolHere is Kat on her big day! 30! Yummy cake.Opening Presents. Did I mention that she did not know my parent's were coming, they were a Birthday Surprise. I tricked her into babysitting and then when she came up to see Holly my parent's were hiding in her room. It was AWESOME!

Snack and Play Time

Just too cute

Opa Goes to the Park

Swing, Higher, Higher! Holly had fun at the park with OpaEven though the Grandparent's were visiting we had to get in a little play time. Here we are at our park, Opa riding on the San Pablo trainIt is always fun to have Opa and Tanta climbing and playing with youBut ultimately Holly loves to swing, if I would let her she would do it for hoursShe is learning to go on the big girl swing now, Daddy pushes her really highI'm still afraid she will let go. I would rather he climb the slideThen I don't have to worry if she simply slides on downIt was hilarious to see everyone follow right on up after her.She loved being the center of attentionand I think the family likes showering her with it.It was fun for my parent's to see her as she had just started talkingIt was only a few words but last time they saw her she wasn't talking at all. Here Holly is with Oma walking home from the park, Holly was getting tiredOn another day we went to the Doggie park with OpaTanta Kat and Sara too. It was nice to have them see her in her elementThe sand, slide, swings, tricycle, all fun things for her to doIt was great to also see Sara we had a fun time, we love having Opa and Oma visit.
